Tahchin Morgh؛ A Delicious Iranian Food

Tahchin, also known as Persian baked rice cake, is an Iranian rice cake that include rice , yogurt, saffron, egg,  and chicken fillet.

Points Before bake

Duration of baking:40 minutes

Ingredients for 4 or 5 People

[icon name=”check-square” class=”” unprefixed_class=””] Yogurt (1/2 cup)

How to Rinse the Rice?

You should put the rice in water for 3 or 4 hours with salt. Throw away the salty water. put the salty rice in the pot with boiling water. After the rice boiled, pour them in the basket and wash with water.

How to Bake?

Boil saffron in water for 30 minutes.

Rile the eggs in separate bowl.

Make non-stick pot oily with liquid oil, mix half of the rice and saffron, rilled eggs, and yougurt then put them in the pot.

After that pour torn chicken on rice (not all of them). Then pour rice and saffron and after that pour chickens and repeat until your ingredients finished.

After that, press it with a spoon and turn the stove to medium heat until it bakes. At the end, turn the stove to high heat to make the rice of bottom of the pot grill. Then return the pot on a dish to put Tahchin in it. If you like, you can decorate it with pistachio, almond, and barberry.
